Cover Text:

With all nine planets already discovered, and most of the know world beneath them, The White Stripes left for a tour of the island that at one time spring-boarded them to multi-national recognition, if not actual fame. The tour bus weaved from one side to the other side (of the island) blowing in the winds north of Daver and south of the Highlands and at some point stopped long enough for the band to pay for that bus with a performace in Blackpool, England. Now, the United States doesn't quite have those names of towns like England. Names like Hull, Bath, Staines, etc. The States usually take a word and add "ville" or "burg" to the end of it. And someone with a talent at writing could tell you exactly how things went down that night in the town of Blackpool. They might've telled you the goings on backstage, the deals between agents, the talk between boys and girls in the crowd, the smell in the air as the lights went down. But they would just blow it for you. And all those memories are really only for the people who were there, reliving them for you would be useles. But God did invent man, and man did invent cameras and magnetic tape to help tell the truth to future generations so that God's man-invention wouldn't blow the punchline and ruin the thrust of the story. Jack plays the guitar. You might like the songs, the monkeys, or maybe you just like Meg's hair. For whatever reason you came into this store, you are most certainly in for a bargain. You didn't have to wait in line for a drink, you didn't have to sit on the floor near the stage for seven hours, you didn't have to meet a beautiful person near the bathroom that you fell in love with for just a moment, you didn't have to smell the musk of the stranger in front of you without seeing their face, and you didn't have to pay triple the price of the ticket outside the club. The White Stripes always promised a better band for you buck, a deal, a poor man's greatest band you could ever see, and the most amount of songs in the least amount of time. all the hits are, Fell in Love with a Girl, Little Room, Sugar Never Tasted So Good, We're Going To Be Friends, and some you forgot. Meg plays the booms booms. So maybe you just heard of The White Stripes last week, or maybe you sawed them on the television before, maybe you even played Lfayette Blues on the sylophone at your grade shool talent show, or maybe you'rejust looking for a good laugh. Either way The White Stripes under Blackpool Lights is your man. Filmed on Super 8 cameras circa before, and put together on computers circa tomorrow I'm sure, producers have done all the work for you. So it's just for luck. The show captures the band at their highest in charisma and endurance, and proves to be just one more reason not to care about modern music anymore. We'll, for now you can. So come on in all ya'll fun time cynics, haters, gricery baggers, and even lovers and witness a and, with four hands, in England, playing song with their heads for once not buried in the sand.
